Most
noted for the very large Spacecraft Assembly Facility (SAF)
consisting of two large clean rooms capable of class 100,000
or better and adjacent test complex. Spacecraft and large
instruments, such as Viking Orbiters, Voyager Missions,
Galileo, Hubble Space Telescope/Wide Field Planetary Camera,
SIR-C/X-SAR and NSCAT, to name a few, were tested and assembled
in SAF.
