Voyager Mission Operations Status Report # 2009-01-09,  Week Ending  January 9, 2009

 

Command Transmission & Verification Operations

 

Voyager 1command operations consisted of the successful uplink of a Command Loss Timer Reset on 1/8 [DOY 008].  The spacecraft received the command.

 

There were no Voyager 2 command operations during this period.

 

Sequence Generation Operations

 

Complete sequence development of CCSL A070.

 

Data Return Operations

 

Voyager 1 Data Processing and Operations:

 

There were 58.9 hours of DSN scheduled support for Voyager 1 of which 26.1 hours were large aperture coverage. There were no real-time or schedule support changes made during the period.

 

There was one significant outage of 2.5 hours on 01/03 [DOY 003] due to rain at DSS-65 [DR M105188]

 

Science instrument performance was nominal for all activities during this period.  One frame of GS-4 data was recorded this week.  A second frame of GS-4 data was recorded on January 9.  The EDR backlog is 2 days.

 

Voyager 2 Data Processing and Operations:

 

There were 38.8 hours of DSN scheduled support for Voyager 1 of which 6.3 hours were large aperture coverage.  There were no real-time or schedule support changes made or significant outages during the period

 

Science instrument performance was nominal for all activities during this period.  The EDR backlog is 2 day.

 

Flight System Performance

 

Voyager 1 performance was nominal during this report period.  Activities included DTR Maintenance on 1/6 [DOY 006] and a PMPCAL on 1/7 [DOY 007].

 

Voyager 2 performance was nominal during this report period.
