Voyager Mission Operations Status Report # 2012-03-16, Week Ending March 16, 2012

 

Command Transmission & Verification Operations

 

There were no command operations in support of Voyager 1 during the period.

 

There were no command operations in support of Voyager 2 during the period.

 

Sequence Generation Operations

 

Continue sequence development of CCSL B155B.

 

Data Return Operations

 

Voyager 1 Data Processing and Operations:

 

There were 37.5 hours of DSN scheduled support for Voyager 1 of which 16.5 hours were large aperture coverage.  There were no real-time or schedule support changes made or significant outages during the period.

 

Science instrument performance was nominal for all activities during this period.  One frame of GS-4 data was recorded this week.  Total of thirty frames of data were recovered from the playback of GS-4 data on March 10 and 11.  The EDR backlog is 2 days.

 

 

Voyager 2 Data Processing and Operations:

 

There were 38.8 hours of DSN scheduled support for Voyager 2 of which 27.7 hours were large aperture coverage.  There were no real-time or schedule support changes made or significant outages during the period.

 

Science instrument performance was nominal for all activities during this period.  The EDR backlog is 2 days.

 

Flight System Performance

 

Voyager 1 performance was nominal during this report period.  Activities included DTR playbacks on 3/10 (DOY 070) and 3/11 (DOY 071) and X-Band low power on 3/14 (DOY 074).

 

Voyager 2 performance was nominal during this report period.  Activities included X-Band high power and an ASCAL on 3/12 (DOY 072).  Also included a MAGROL followed by Gyro OFF and X-Band low power on 3/15 (DOY 075).
