Voyager
Mission Operations Status Report # 2012-10-05, Week Ending October 5, 2012
Command Transmission & Verification Operations
Voyager 1 command operations consisted of the
uplink of CCSL A085, ECR 111746 MEMUPD, TLMPRG, ECR 111746 MROs, AHELIO MROs
and a Command Loss Timer Reset on 10/01 [DOY 275/1456z]. The spacecraft
received all commands sent. The CCSL, ECR MEMUPD and MROS, TLMPRG and AHELIO
MROs were verified.
Voyager 2 command operations consisted of the
uplink of seven bracketed Command Loss Timer Resets sent on five-minute centers
using 0.5 Hz steps on 10/04 [DOY 278/1412z]. The spacecraft received three
of the seven commands sent.

Return Operations
Voyager 1 Data Processing and Operations:
There were 46.6 hours of
DSN scheduled support for Voyager 1 of which 46.6 hours were large aperture
coverage. There were no real-time or
schedule support changes made or significant outages during the period.
Science instrument performance was nominal for all activities during this period. One frame of GS-4 data was recorded this week. A second frame of GS-4 data was recorded on September 29. The EDR backlog is 2 days.
Voyager 2 Data Processing and Operations:
There were 38.1 hours of DSN scheduled support
for Voyager 2 of which 22.0 hours were large aperture coverage. Two schedule
changes were made both adding station support. The first change on 09/29 [DOY 273] added 2.6 hours of
DSS-34 support. The following day, 09/30 [DOY 274], 6.3 hours of DSS-45 support
was added. The total actual support for
the period was 47.0 hours of which 22.0 hours were large aperture
coverage. There were no significant
outages during the period.
Science instrument performance was nominal for all activities during this period. The EDR backlog is 2 days.
