Voyager Mission Operations Status Report # 2014-04-11  Week Ending  April 11, 2014.

 

Command Transmission & Verification Operations

 

Voyager 1 command operations consisted of the uplink of a Command Loss Timer Reset, CCSL A091, MEMUPD, TLMPRG, AHELIO2 and SID MRO’s  on 04/09 [DOY 099/0710z].  The spacecraft received all commands sent and the CCSL and MROs were verified.

 

Voyager 2 command operations consisted of the uplink of seven bracketed Command Loss Timer Resets sent on five-minute centers using 0.5 Hz steps on 04/09 [DOY 099/2052z].  The spacecraft received two of the seven commands sent.

 

Sequence Generation Operations

 

Continue sequence development of CCSL B164.

 

Data Return Operations

 

Voyager 1 Data Processing and Operations:

 

There were 65.6 hours of DSN scheduled support for Voyager 1 of which 59.2 hours were large aperture coverage. There were no real-time or schedule support changes made during the period.

 

There was one significant outage of 3.7 hours on 04/10 [DOY 100] due to heavy rain at DSS-43 [DR C110122].

 

Science instrument performance was nominal for all activities during this period.  One frame of GS-4 data was recorded this week.  The second frame of GS-4 data was recorded on April 10.  The third frame of GS-4 data was recorded on April 5.  The EDR backlog is 2 days.

 

Voyager 2 Data Processing and Operations:

 

There were 61.3 hours of DSN scheduled support for Voyager 2 of which 26.3 hours were large aperture coverage. One schedule change was made on 04/10 [DOY 100] when 3.8 hours of DSS-45 support was released to support a Voyager 1 array.  The total actual support was 57.5 hours of which 26.3 hours were large aperture coverage. 

 

There was one significant outage of 0.9 hours on 04/09 [DOY 099] due to rain at DSS-43 [DR C110118].

 

Science instrument performance was nominal for all activities during this period.  The EDR backlog is 2 days.

 

 

Flight System Performance

 

Voyager 1 performance was nominal during this report period.

 

Voyager 2 performance was nominal during this report period.
