Voyager Mission Operations Status Report # 2013-05-24,  Week Ending  May 24, 2013

 

Command Transmission & Verification Operations

 

Voyager 1 command operations consisted of the uplink of a ENA WEEKHOOK, ENA AHELI2, SID MROs on 05/20 [DOY 140/1235z].  The spacecraft received all commands sent and all commands and MROs were verified.

 

There were no command operations in support of Voyager 2 during the period due to DSS-43 downtime.

 

Sequence Generation Operations

 

 

Data Return Operations

 

Voyager 1 Data Processing and Operations:

 

There were 107.7 hours of DSN scheduled support for Voyager 1 of which 52.6 hours were large aperture coverage.  There were no real-time or schedule support changes made or significant outages during the period.

 

Science instrument performance was nominal for all activities during this period.  One frame of GS-4 data was recorded this week.  Fourteen frames of data were recovered from a playback of GS-4 data on May 20.  Another eighteen frames of data were recovered from a playback of GS-4 data on May 23.  The EDR backlog is 2 days.

 

Voyager 2 Data Processing and Operations:

 

There were 56.5 hours of DSN scheduled support for Voyager 2 of which 0 hours were large aperture coverage.  There were no real-time or schedule support changes made or significant outages during the period.

 

Science instrument performance was nominal for all activities during this period.  The EDR backlog is 2 days.

 

Flight System Performance

 

Voyager 1 performance was nominal during this report period.  Activities included switching to X-Band high power followed by a DTR PWS high rate data playback on 51/20 (DOY 141), A PMPCAL ON 5/22 (DOY 142), and another DTR PWS high rate data playback on 5/23 (DOY 144).

 

Voyager 2 performance was nominal during this report period.
